When the charger is in Trickle mode, it will monitor the voltage of the battery even when the screen is showing OFF. Once the voltage drops below 12.5 Volts, the charger will automatically turn back on and charge the battery to full, maintaining the voltage as normal.

The charger also features a Force 12V mode. If it accidentally recognizes a 12V battery as a 6V battery (for example, if the power of the 12V battery is less than 6 Volts), you can press and hold the Mode button for 5 seconds, and the charger will be forced to switch to the 12V charging mode.
